If you’re new here (or even if you’re not!), I thought it would be fun to write a get-to-know-me post with some fun facts about me and my life! I have actually never written a post like this, so I thought it was a good time for it. Let me know if we have anything in common, or if there’s anything else you wanna know! I am an open book and will share pretty much anything with you guys.
- I started blogging in July 2019, started sharing on my personal Instagram within a month or two, and really started growing my blog Instagram in March 2020. When I started my blog, I actually had no idea that fashion blogging on Instagram was a thing! I just love writing, and I’ve always been told I’m good at it. I also love shopping, and often get complimented on my outfits. So as soon as I found out that I could have a fashion blog, I thought it would be the perfect combination for me.
- I am a school psychologist in two elementary schools. Over the past 5 years, I have actually worked in 3 districts, and 9 elementary schools total. But I think I’ll be in these schools for a while now!
- Brent and I have been together (officially) since August 2016. But also dated for a year and half before taking a 3 year break. We got married October 5th, 2019.
- We have a cat named Kitt who Brent is obsessed with, and a black lab mix named Hershey who I am obsessed with.
- I was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri, and have lived around the area my whole life, other than during college and grad school.
- I have a B.S. in Psychology from Northwest Missouri State University, a Master’s in Educational Psychology from the University of Kentucky, and an Ed.S. in School Psychology from the University of Kentucky. Before that, I went to a private Catholic high school, and actually was homeschooled my whole life before that!
- I love traveling around the U.S., especially road trips (I actually hate flying). So far, I have been to 32 states, and my biggest bucket list goal in life is to make it to all 50. I have lived in 2 different states (MO and KY), and have worked in 5 (MO, KS, KY, NY, and ME).
- I don’t usually like watching movies (I get bored) unless it’s in theaters. And even that, we only go once or twice a year usually. But I love watching TV! I tend to watch the same shows over and over though. My favorites are Friends, Gilmore Girls, How I Met Your Mother, The Office, and Parks and Rec. I also love watching any of the Real Housewives shows and spin-offs like Vanderpump Rules. Sometimes I watch the Bachelor/Bachelorette, but a lot of times get bored with it.
- I love reading, but I don’t do it nearly enough anymore. I have books on my iPad, but I will always always always buy physical books too. I love going to bookstores and just browsing.
- I am a bit of a wino. I like almost anything red or white, but favorites are Merlot, Pinot Noir, Pinot Grigio, Riesling, and have been starting to like Chardonnay more lately too.
