One of my favorite things to do during this time of year is Spring cleaning, and especially cleaning out my closet. I always love donating clothes that I haven’t worn in a while, especially because it frees up closet space to buy new clothes!
I have a bit of an online shopping addiction, so all of the new items in this post were bought on ThredUP (not sponsored at all, I just love them!) I just love scrolling through and picking out new outfits without having to leave my couch, and helps when you can save a ton of money and be environmentally friendly as well by shopping secondhand. They also can send you a closet clean-out kit, which is super quick and easy for freeing up that closet space!
BUT ANYWAY…I put together 5 fresh new outfits for spring, mostly out of secondhand items. Also mostly items that are so outside of my comfort zone and more fashionable than what I normally gravitate towards. But when it’s such good deals, it’s easier to take some risks! Since ThredUP is an online thrift store, that means I won’t be able to link exact items. But I will link as many similar items as I can find!
Outfit #1: Blush pink skirt + basic white cami
If you couldn’t tell from previous posts like this one, pink is my favorite color. Whenever I see a pink anything, it speaks to me and I have to buy it. When I saw this skirt, I immediately thought “princess,” “ballerina,” “Barbie.” And felt like it too once I put it on. Definitely outside of my comfort zone since I NEVER wears skirts, but this would be so cute for Easter. I paired it with a simple white cami from Target, and sparkly sandals from JC Penney. Also, not the only appearances of my cat in this post.
Outfit #2: Flowy off-shoulder blue top + jeans
I am definitely feeling more brave and bold with my fashion choices this year. I don’t think I have ever worn an off-the-shoulder top in my life, but I feature two in this post. This one is probably my favorite. So cute and flowy, and I love the tied straps on the shoulder so it doesn’t feel completely off-the-shoulder.
This outfit would also be great for summer with a pair of jean shorts or white shorts and sandals. Can’t wait to wear it out once the weather gets warmer!
Outfit #3:
Another off-the-shoulder top, and this one is also CROPPED. Another trend I have only done once or twice before. Usually I am not a fan of crop tops, but this one is such a subtle crop it really doesn’t bother me. The yellow color is so bold and bright, which again is not my usual but I am LOVING it. The cutout details on the sleeves and bottom of the shirt are a great addition too. I can definitely picture myself in the middle of a sunflower field wearing this top.
Outfit #4: Faux leather, super soft blush pink blazer
This blazer is adorable (and so soft!) It could easily be dressed down with a pair of shorts or leggings, or could easily be dressed up with a pair of slacks and heels. I bought this with work in mind, but could also wear it out to happy hour or drinks with the girls and feel completely comfortable.
Outfit #5: Basic white top + paper bag pants + heels
Paper bag pants are another style I was not sure I liked at first, but now think it’s so cute. I should have probably sized up in these because they are a little snug, but still could see myself wearing this outfit to work or a fancier date night/girls night. Since the pants are pretty bold on their own, I would just pair them with a basic t-shirt or white shirt like the one I’m wearing here. I also paired with basic tan heels, but might look even better with closed-toe pumps instead. Such a simple, classy look and I love it. Not super spring, but have wanted to try these pants out for a while!
I absolutely love all of these outfits and am so excited for the weather to get just a little bit warmer outside so that I can actually wear them! Oh and can’t wait for quarantine to be over so I can actually have a reason to get all dressed up and go out again. Let me know which of these outfits was your favorite, and what items inspired you to do some online shopping of your own this Spring!
